IDF: Claims of Massacres at Gaza Aid Sites Are ‘Total Lies’

by Worthy News Jerusalem Bureau Staff

TEL AVIV (Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) firmly rejected accusations Tuesday night that its troops were responsible for the killing of civilians at humanitarian aid distribution points in Gaza, calling the claims “total lies” and accusing Hamas of manipulating the narrative.

Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin, a senior military spokesperson, addressed the growing allegations during a press conference, responding to reports from Gaza’s Hamas-run Health Ministry that claimed Israeli troops opened fire on civilians waiting for food. According to Defrin, such charges are baseless and part of a deliberate misinformation campaign.

“The IDF did not target civilians at aid distribution centers. That is a total lie,” Defrin said. “We fired warning shots on Tuesday morning–half a kilometer away from an aid site–after detecting suspicious individuals approaching in a threatening manner. The event is under investigation, as is our protocol, but people need to understand: Hamas is behind the violence at these sites.”

Defrin alleged that Hamas fighters have infiltrated distribution zones and even fired at civilians themselves in Khan Younis, using chaos to manipulate public opinion and undermine Israel internationally. He also blasted global media outlets for “irresponsibly spreading unverified information that only serves Hamas propaganda.”

Contrary to accusations, Defrin emphasized that Israel has taken deliberate steps to enable humanitarian relief. “We are not blocking aid. We are enabling it,” he stated. “The new aid delivery system, coordinated through the US- and Israeli-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, is proving both successful and secure.”

According to IDF figures, tens of thousands of meals are now being distributed daily under the new program, which launched in late May after months of war-induced shortages. The aid initiative not only helps civilians but is also, according to Defrin, undercutting Hamas’ grip on the population.

“Hamas’ rule is cracking under continuous military pressure and the success of this independent aid network,” he noted. “Their control is eroding.”

While investigations into the recent incidents are ongoing, the IDF reiterated its call for international media to verify facts before amplifying what it calls disinformation pushed by a terrorist organization.
