(Worthy News) – A suspect in the shooting outside the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner reportedly sent a disturbing anti-Trump manifesto to family members just minutes before the attack, according to multiple reports.
Cole Tomas Allen, 31, is now in federal custody following the Saturday night shooting near the Washington Hilton, where the annual event was being held. Authorities have not yet released full details about casualties or the extent of injuries.
According to reports citing excerpts published by The New York Post, Allen described himself as the “Friendly Federal Assassin” and outlined grievances against the Trump administration. In the manifesto, he allegedly labeled President Donald Trump a “traitor” and “pedophile,” while expressing a desire to target administration officials.
President Trump, speaking in an interview on Fox News, said the suspect was “a sick guy” and pointed to the writings as evidence of hostility toward Christians. “He hates Christians,” Trump stated, referencing the tone and content of the manifesto.
The suspect reportedly sent the document to relatives, including a sister in Rockville, Maryland, and a brother in Connecticut, shortly before the shooting. The writings allegedly detailed a plan to prioritize targets “from highest-ranking to lowest,” though FBI Director Kash Patel was notably excluded without explanation.
While the suspect claimed he did not intend to harm hotel staff or guests, the manifesto indicated a willingness to do so if necessary to reach intended targets. He also described his weapon choice as an attempt to “minimize casualties,” though the language revealed a readiness to escalate violence.
In addition, the writings criticized security measures at the Washington Hilton, describing them as insufficient and overly focused on external threats rather than internal risks. The suspect reportedly expressed shock at how easily weapons could be brought into the hotel.
The incident has raised renewed concerns about political extremism, anti-Christian rhetoric, and security vulnerabilities at high-profile events in the nation’s capital. Federal authorities continue to investigate the attack and the suspect’s background, including his online activity and ideological motivations.
