(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated on Thursday morning that sixty Hezbollah terrorists were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting 20 locations north of Lebanon’s Litani River over the past day.
Airstrikes on Wednesday targeted Hezbollah facilities south of Beirut, hitting command centers, weapons storage sites, and terror infrastructure, according to the IDF.
“All of the targets were embedded in the heart of a civilian area, an additional example of Hezbollah’s cynical exploitation of Lebanese civilians as human shields,” the IDF stated.
“Prior to the strikes, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk to civilians, including using precise munitions, surveillance, and issuing advance warnings to the population in the area,” the IDF added.
On Wednesday, Hezbollah fired a total of 170 projectiles into Israeli territory, one of which resulted in the death of an IDF soldier in northern Israel.
Since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, the IDF’s casualty toll on all fronts has risen to 781.
